DotNetNuke 5.0 published

On December, 24th 2008 DotNetNuke 5.0 has been released to the public, containing significant improvement in rights management and handling of extensions (i.e. modules, skins and language packs). There have been a couple of issues shown up during first implementations, which are currently going to be fixed for next version; for use in production, we currently suggest to use version 4.9.1, which has been released on 24. 12. as well - all our own and most of our customer sites are already upgraded.

To all our customers and partners, we wish a good start in a successful new year 2009.

dnnWerk at CeBIT 2008

Open Source Software for Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SME) – Web based Solutions for Internet and e-Commerce
this is the title of a session, presented by dnnWerk within the CeBIT SME-Forum (Hall 5) at Sunday, March, 9th 2008, 14:00 to 17:00.

Within this Event,  Benjamin Hermann shows advantages especially for SMEs and comparable Organizations when using Open Source Software like DotNetNuke.

Wolfgang Meyscheider demonstrates e-Commerce options using as a typical SME example Compact Technologies from Traunreut, which uses its Web Portal to inform and encourage the participation of employees, to connect employed field staff and to actively retain existing customers.

Philipp Becker will present E-Commerce applications for web shops and catalogs, which are easy to implement using DotNetNuke.

Sebastian Leupold from the DotNetNuke Core Team reports about latest developments in the framework in 2008.
Language Packs now available at dnn-usergroup.de

The German DotNetNuke Language Packs are now available for download at the Web Site of the German DotNetNuke User Group.

DotNetNuke 3.3.7/4.3.7 released - 12/1/06
DotNetNuke Versions 3.3.7 and 4.3.7 were released yesterday. There were no new features added, but there were security issues fixed as well some packaging issues regarding installations with a database owner other than "dbo". As the UI has not changed, you can continue to use language packs for 3.3.6/4.3.6 without limitations.
